Install an eSIM on iPad
Any Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad from 2018 onward, running iPadOS 14 or later
Only Wi-Fi + Cellular iPads can use an eSIM. If your iPad has no Cellular option in Settings, it's a Wi-Fi-only model.
Step by step
Connect to Wi-Fi.
Open Settings, then Cellular Data.
Tap Add Cellular Plan (or Add eSIM).
Scan the QR code from your order.
Turn on Cellular Data for the new plan once it appears in the list.
Stay on Wi-Fi for the whole install. If the download fails halfway, reconnect and scan the same code again — the plan isn't consumed until it installs successfully.
Supported models
The phone also has to be carrier-unlocked. If yours came from a network on contract, check with them first.
